Stefanie Veneziano
Candidate for Bath City Council
At-Large
Meet Stefanie

There's something special about living in a river town. People get up a little earlier, work a little harder, and put in a little extra to care for their community. While I grew up in a town on the Penobscot, moving to the City of Ships on the Kennebec was one of the best decisions I've made.I was raised in Hampden and spent the first 25 years of my life in Maine. After graduating from the University of Maine, I moved to the Portland area to work on a presidential campaign, where I organized in communities like Bath. I then worked as an aide in the Maine Legislature and served on the South Portland Planning Board, where I gained firsthand insight into how local decisions shape communities.Like many young people from our state, I left home to pursue new opportunities. What I expected to be a short adventure turned into more than a decade living and working abroad. Those years gave me the chance to experience different cultures and perspectives. They also gave me a greater appreciation for the Pine Tree State, leading me to move back to Maine in 2025.It didn't take long for me to see that Bath is a community I want to serve. From its historic downtown and working waterfront to its strong local spirit and active residents, I found a place unlike anywhere else in Maine.I live in Bath with my partner Sam, our rescue dog Lilly, and our two cats Oddjob and Solitaire. I'm grateful to call Bath home.
My Priorities
Protecting Character
Bath is the coolest small city in Maine. As our community grows and changes, we should work to preserve the unique qualities that make it such a special place to call home.
Strengthening Community
A thriving city depends on strong neighborhoods and opportunities for people to connect. Local government should foster a sense of shared purpose.
Planning for the Future
Our future depends on creating a place where people can afford to live close to home. We can build on Bath's strong foundation to make it even more attractive for families to grow and thrive.
Why I'm Running
I'm running for Bath City Council because I want to play an active role in the community I've chosen to call home.I believe local government has the greatest impact on our everyday lives. The decisions made by the City Council shape our neighborhoods, our local businesses, our public spaces, and the direction of our city for years to come.Bath is an extraordinary place, and I want to be part of helping it thrive. By serving on the City Council, I will bring my experience, listen to residents, and work collaboratively to help shape Bath's future while protecting everything that makes it special.

Get In Touch
Bath is strongest when residents are engaged and involved in their community. If you'd like to share an idea, raise a concern, or simply introduce yourself, I'll be glad to hear from you.
